USA Special Event Description:
The Experience is a newly founded festival that takes place in Jackson, Mississippi on Labor Day (Monday, September 3, 2007). The event originally was designed to expose Mississippi talent in terms of the performers and vendors to the masses. The event drew a lot of statewide attention and artists from outside of Mississippi requested to be added to the line-up. The 2007 Mississippi Experience will feature music performers from through out the United States. Most of the artists from the Southeast. The Experience, also, features vendors presenting a taste of the South and traditional festival favorite foods.
Event Performers:
The Experience spotlights over thirty music acts from the Southeast representing Gospel, rock, blues, country, and R & B. The bands are upcoming regional and local acts who are promoting their respective new cd's. The Experience, also, features vendors presenting a taste of the South and traditional festival favorite foods. In addition unto the bands, the Mississippi Experience will include Greek step teams from various area colleges and a classic car and motorcycle show.

The event will take place in Jackson, MS on Monday, September 3, 2007 in Battlefield Park. From I-55 take the Hwy 80 W exit. Battlefield Park is located at the intersection of Hwy 80 and Terry Road.
