USA Special Event Description:
Celebrating our 18th year, Summer Motion has grown to become the Tri to State's premier family fun festival. More than one million visitors have enjoyed our superstar concerts, which have featured Wynonna, The Doobie Brothers, The Beach Boys, Martina McBride, Billy Ray Cyrus, Sawyer Brown, SheDaisy, The Guess Who, The Bellamy Brothers, The Oak Ridge Boys, Kool and the Gang, Phil Vassar, Merle Haggard, Herman's Hermits, Aaron Yippin, Grand Funk Railroad, Trace Adkins, Hohn Michael Montgomery, Restless Heart and Pam Tillis.
But there's a lot more to Summer Motion than just free concerts. Our Central Park festival features a craft show, a petting zoo, games and carnival rides. The Summer Motion 10K Race is recognized as one of the region's top running events. We also are hosting our fourth annual Soap Box Derby, with the winner advancing to the national championship in Akron, Ohio.

Central Park - (Between 17th & 22nd Streets.) From US 23, turn west on 17th Street, go four blocks, and Park is on the left. From US 60 turn South onto Lexington Ave. Park is fours block on the left.
River Front -- From US 23 Turn North onto 15th St. Enter river front through floodwall. From US 60, turn South onto Winchester Ave., and then turn North onto 15th St. Enter river front through floodwall.
